About Us
Welcome to our travel blog! We're Ethan & Malik - a couple since May 2022 currently based out of Chicago, Illinois, that enjoys traveling and exploring new places in a way that is economical, efficient, and enjoyable. Since we haven't won the lottery (yet), we try our best to maximize the value of our travel without sacrificing quality.
Ethan Coleman
Ethan grew up in Southern Illinois and has always been an avid traveler. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in December 2018 with a semester abroad in Germany in 2017. Throughout his career, he has worked in banking and now marketing / media. He is currently employed with Spark Foundry as a Finance Manager and is working towards obtaining his MBA through the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Geis College of Business. He is set to graduate by May 2029.

Malik Salah
Malik grew up in Central Massachusetts with ties to Lebanon (Dad) & Greece (Mom). He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Studies, Bachelor of Arts in Political Science & Government, & Doctor of Pharmacy from Northeastern University in 2018. After pursuing a career in Pharmacy for 2 years, he went on to pursue his Doctor of Medicine from Loyola University (graduated in May 2024). Malik has since started his residency program specializing in psychiatry (set to complete the program in 2028).

Passport Chronicles was initially born out of a desire to document our own travels and itineraries for our own reference later. We soon realized, however, that, in many cases, it can be hard to find quality itineraries, tips, and travel details all in one place. So instead of painstakingly combing through TripAdvisor or GetYourGuide, we hope you'll find everything you need to plan your trip here.
Given that our chronicles are snapshots in time and circumstances change around the world that affect things like prices, the feasibility of certain itineraries, etc., we will be diligent about updating chronicles as appropriate. We want this to be as useful and relevant as possible when planning your trips.

Traveled to Boston, Massachusetts then took a road trip to Tom River, New Jersey (passing through Connecticut & New York)
Traveled to Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada (with a quick visit to Golden, British Columbia)
